These 2 page - this and the next on, "b" - tell you some of the things we have done during 2003.  For anyone who received our Christmas letter, this page covers much the same ground (it was the same year).  There is more detail - and more pictures - here.  Also, news about our Disney holidays is not here because it is in our Trip Reports.

Mikki is a great tennis player but you probably know Andrew and sports don’t normally go together. Still, we did get to the Derby this year and also spent a Sunday at Lord’s for the Test Match.  We joined some of Mikki’s colleagues in Barclays Bank’s box.  Let’s not mention which team won but just remember Flintoff’s magnificent 142 (and his broken bat).

The trip to the Derby was with other members of the Worshipful Company of World Traders.  Our open topped bus parked close to the winning post.  We had a fine view from the bus or could walk a few yards, past the bookies, to get to the rails.  It was a beautiful day and some of us even came away (almost) even.

We are past the age for the “Junior” Chambers of Commerce but still enjoy events organised by their “Senate”.  Here we are sipping Pims on Clevedon pier in August.  This was part of a super weekend organised by Mike and Carol Mander.  Many thanks to them.

2003 was a milestone year for the Junior Chamber of Commerce for London as it celebrated 50 years of service to its members and the community.  Andrew gave a presentation on the history of the Chamber at a commemorative event at the London Chamber of Commerce.  We also both enjoyed a Gala Dinner in September.
