This is Andrew and Mikki Young's personal web site.

Mikki has always been a mouse so we needed a cat in the house.  Andrew was (and is) first choice but she needed a reminder.  She gave him Figaro, our first toy cat as a Christmas present in 1992.  Here they both are in Harrogate that Christmas.

Here is Figaro aged 5 (in human years) in 1997.  This was taken in our then home in London.  Yes, the settee he is sitting on should be familiar:  the kitties still use it for their group photos.

By the time he was 10 years old, Figaro had become a firm part of the family.  He had also introduced some of his family, including a cousin who lives with Andrew's mother in Harrogate (and whom she calls "Mischief" but has never explained what he got up to to earn the name).  The picture is of "No.1" and Mischief at the family Christmas gathering at Andrew's brother's house in Hexham.

In the last few years, Figaro has developed something of a following.  He now writes Mikki's trip reports from Walt Disney World for the Intercot discussion board.

Figaro No. 1 is now 16 (human) years old.  That would be quite old in cat years but how long are "toy cat years".  Let's just say we think all our Figaros, including No.1 should think themselves very lucky to be with us.

   Figaro now has his own name badge when he goes to Disney parks
   (as if anyone didn't know who he is!)
