Some More about Us
We got to know one another while Andrew lived in London and Mikki in Eastbourne. Work brought Mikki to London in 1986 and we maried in 1987.
We had busy lives in and out of work. Andrew worked for several government Departments or other bodies (at one time having an office overlooking Whitehall). Mikki had many different posts in Barclays Bank (sadly, none with the big salary or bonus!).
We have both had a lot of fun from the out-of-hours management development organisation known as Junior Chamber (or Junior Chambers of Commerce, Jaycees and JCI). We have both been President of the London Chamber (based in the City). In 1996, Mikki was voted both the Most Outstanding Member in Europe and the Most Outstanding Member of the World.
We have also supported the institutions of the City itself. We are both proud to be Freemen of the City of London and Liverymen of the Worshipful Company of World Traders. Andrew drafted the documents that achieved the livery status in 2000.
