Mikki was thrilled indeed when her birth family made contact.  The charity Norcap had been looking for about a year when Mikki saw their first letter in December 2008.  Mikki first met her sister, Julie, in January 2009 while Julie was passing through London on business.  We have now enjoyed several visits to the family in Bermuda and Mikki keeps in regular contact through e-mail and Internet telephone.  Mikki has even added a web-cam to her computer to have video conversations on Skype.

We are pleased to have been able to share brother Chance's joy at his wedding to Tasha in 2009.  They now have a baby boy.

It was a far sadder occasion when Mikki went to the funeral of her father, David in 2011.  She will retain many happy memories of visiting him in better times and of his fund of stories about family and island life.  She will always be grateful to him for starting the process that enabled the family to get together again.
