Andrew and Mikki Young's home village
Beckingham, Lincolnshire
We moved to Lincolnshire in 2006 after Andrew received his ill health retirement from work and Mikki was made redundant. Beckingham is a beautiful, quiet and friendly village with the added benefit of being within easy reach of the A1 road and mainline trains from Newark. Since moving here, we have tried to become involved in the life of the village. Mikki has joined the local church, All Saints (Church of England). She is now a member of the Parochial Church Council and chairs the committee that carries out fund raising activities in the village for the restoration of the church building. She also edits and publishes the village newsletter, the Beckingham Bugle. We deliver it ourselves to our community of under 150 properties. Andrew was elected to the (civil) Parish Council in 2007.
This page was created in August 2008. We plan a major revision of the site when we would like to tell you more about our lovely and interesting village.
